About the Workshop
Imagine bringing your full, authentic self into leadership spaces without fear of judgment or others’ discomfort. The reality is that access to these spaces requires People of Color to leave behind the very things that make them authentic in order to “fit” in. And white allies often don’t understand why. In this session, Frank Velásquez Jr. invites folks to share their experiences and explores how dedicated learning spaces empower leaders and foster deep connections. PoC and white allies will leave the session appreciating each other’s perspective and be better equipped to collectively lead with more authenticity and joy, and in the process transform our communities.
