Please join us on September 17, 2019 when Eddie Moore, Jr. presents America is Changing…Are YOU Ready? This interactive, informational, challenging and energetic session examines and explores issues of diversity, privilege, oppression and leadership across America and challenges participants to examine their own biases, behaviors and belief systems. We all have an excellent opportunity to be positive role models, powerful decision makers, and effective agents of change, if we have the tools. We need more leaders for social justice and equity across America. Do you have the skills and ability to lead? Are we making any progress?
This interactive presentation will focus new attention to three significant areas: What we mean by demographics and population, examining how definitions have changed and the implications for bias Power and Privilege: how power works, exploring systems, institutions, and policies Identifying resources and how we can all be proactive in these times
Objectives
- To create an understanding of what diversity and equity mean for the next 25 years in the US.
- Introduce the concept of systems design and the skills needed to push back on our systems when necessary.
- Offer opportunities for on-going work as a call to action and a framework for guidance.

Dr. Eddie Moore, Jr. has pursued and achieved success in academia, business, diversity, leadership and community service. In 1996, he started America & MOORE, LLC to provide comprehensive diversity, privilege and leadership trainings/workshops. Dr. Moore is recognized as one of the nation’s top speakers and educators. His interview with Wisconsin Public Radio won the 2015 Wisconsin Broadcasters Association’s Best Interview in Medium Market Radio, 1st Place, and he is featured in the film “I’m not Racist…Am I?”
Dr. Moore is the Founder/Program Director for the White Privilege Conference (WPC). Under the direction of Dr. Moore and his inclusive relationship model the WPC has become one of the top national and international conferences for participants who want to move beyond dialogue and into action around issues of diversity, power, privilege, and leadership.
In 2014 Dr. Moore founded The Privilege Institute (TPI) which engages people in research, education, action and leadership through workshops, conferences, publications and strategic partnerships and relationships. Dr. Moore is co-founder of the on-line journal Understanding and Dismantling Privilege, co-editor of Everyday White People Confront Racial and Social Injustice: 15 Stories, The Guide for White Women who Teach Black Boys,The Diversity Consultant Cookbook: Preparing for the Challenge (2019) and Teaching Brilliant and Beautiful Black Girls (2020). For 10-years, Dr. Moore served as Director of Diversity at Brooklyn Friends School in Brooklyn, NY and The Bush School in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Moore received his Ph.D. from the University of Iowa in Education Leadership. His Ph.D. research is on Black Football Players at Division III Schools in the Midwest.
